Not the worst evening view from a hotel balcony!

Catherine Jordan: I'm an amateur photographer currently completing some courses with Ffotogallery (Cardiff). I got into photography after my hubby bought a Canon 500D and I wanted one when I saw the possibilities a proper camera could achieve. I'm doing this project to a) see if I can stick to it and b) to see if my photography improves over the year. Wish me luck! Criticism, no matter how harsh, is welcomed.
